Easy-to-make summer drinks for a crowd 🔆 Frozen Lime Margarita: Ingredients: ¾ cup Espolòn Repòsado Tequila 1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice ¼ cup triple sec 3 tbsp agave syrup / honey / sugar ¼ tsp table salt 6 cups ice For the garnish: Lime juice Salt Lime slices Method: 1. In a blender, add all the ingredients except for the lime slices. 2. Blend in 10 second intervals until the desired consistency is achieved. 3. Serve in a chilled jug along with tumbler glasses on the side. 4. Dip the glasses in lime juice, rim with salt and garnish with a slice of lime. 5. Enjoy on a festive summers day! FULL RECIPE Makes 15 large squares Hands-on time: 5 minutes Hands-off time: 1 hour 30 minutes INGREDIENTS 5 medium bananas ½ cup (180g) light brown sugar 1 cup (250g) blueberries 1 cup (250g) White Star Instant Maize Porridge Banana Flavour 1 cup (102g) oats METHOD 1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and lightly grease a medium-sized baking dish. Line a large baking tray with baking paper and set aside for later. 2. Peel and mash the bananas in the prepared baking dish. The bananas should weigh about 590g. 3. Add the brown sugar, blueberries and White Star Instant Maize Porridge Banana Flavour to the mashed bananas and stir until combined. 4. Fold in the oats and smooth the top layer of the batter.*Chef’s Tip: Add vanilla essence for extra flavour if desired. 5. Clean the sides of the baking dish using paper towel and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown. 6. Remove the dish from the oven and cut into squares. 7. Place the dish back into the oven then drop the oven temperature to 100°C and bake for a further 25-30 minutes or until dried to the touch. 8. Remove the dried squares from the oven and leave to cool at room temperature for 10-15 minutes. 9. Serve the breakfast squares and ENJOY! 3 methods for making CRISPY chicken wings in the PHILIPS XXL Airfryer 🍗

The GLORIOUS chicken wing! An item on our weekly menu at home, the one meal we ALL really look forward too. We been doing them in air fryer for a very long time, having the new Philips XXL Airfryer just makes it a lot more fun (cause its a new gadget and I love me some new toys) but also its the extra space that allows us to get more chicken wings done, which as you can imagine makes everybody really happy! There are several ways you can make chicken wings in the air fryer, so im sharing with you MY 3 favorite methods. 1. The plain jane chicken waaang - Always ensure you pat your wings dry - Sprinkle with garlic powder and salt - Spray your basket with a bit of Spray Cook - AirFry at 190C for 15min (extra 5min for extra crispy) 2. The baking powder chicken wing - Always ensure you pat your wings dry - Mix 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder with 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp garlic powder, and salt - Spray your basket with a bit of Spray Cook - AirFry at 190C for 15min (extra 5min for extra crispy) 3. The JFC chicken wing - Always ensure you pat your wings dry - Season wings with salt - Dunk in seasoned flour, then an egg (whisked), and lastly in your - breadcrumbs - Place on a wire rack - Spray your basket with a bit of Spray Cook - AirFry at 190C for 15min What im still tryna get my head around with this particular Airfryer by Philips is it has what they call Smart Sensing Technology. Essentially the airfryer adjusts cooking time and temperature, AUTOMATICALLY to ensure your food is cooked perfectly everytime. I look forward to exploring that in the new future. Build your own FULL HOUSE STEAK GATSBY 🤤 Cape Town’s most ICONIC dish - DIY style 😎 Ingredients Serves: 4 – 6 For the McCain Slap Chips 3 cups oil, for frying ¾ bag (750g) McCain Slap Chips Chip spice, to taste Salt For the Signature Basting Sauce 2 tbsp honey 2 clove garlic, finely grated 1 tsp peri-peri spice mix 2 cups beef stock (½ stock cube to 2 cups water) 4 tbsp BBQ sauce For the Gatsby 2 onions, sliced 500g beef minute steak, sliced into strips (0,5cm thick) Salt & pepper, to taste 1 large Gatsby roll, available at various bakeries 1 head of baby cos lettuce, shredded 1-2 tomatoes Cheese slices 3-4 eggs, fresh Serving suggestions Mayonnaise Tomato sauce Mustard Recipe: 1. Preheat the oil in a large pot. 2. Cook the McCain Slap Chips in the hot oil for 5 minutes. Place the chips into a bowl. 3. Add salt and the chip spice and toss well. Cover the bowl for 2-5 minutes until the chips are perfectly ‘slap’. 4. Combine all the sauce ingredients in a small pot and bring to a boil. 5. Simmer until reduced/slightly and thickened. 6. In a hot oiled pan, fry the sliced onion until just cooked & golden. Add ½ the basting sauce. 7. Season the steak with salt & pepper. 8. In a hot oiled pan, fry the steak strips until just cooked. Add the basting sauce over the steak and simmer until heated through, 1 minute. 9. Clean & dry your work surface properly as a plate most certainly won’t allow to fit this whole roll! 10. Place the Gatsby roll onto your work surface & slice open. 11. On one side of the roll, lay down the lettuce to cover. 12. Slice the tomato thinly and place the slices over the lettuce. 13. Add the cooked McCain Slap Chips and then the basted rump steak. Top with cheese slices 14. In a medium warm oiled pan, fry the eggs until medium hard and season to taste. 15. Add the fried eggs to the Gatsby. Finish off with the top of the Gatsby roll. Serving suggestions: For extra indulgence top with either mayonnaise, tomato sauce and/or mustard and ENJOY!!
