Corned beef, also called silverside, is a classic come Eid and Christmas. Try this method for preparing this family favourite.
It turns out corned beef is difficult to cook - literally and figuratively. This is my method for cooking corned beef and it has worked out very well for us.

We enjoy corned beef cool, for which point five below is the most important.

Simply add the corned beef to a pot, cover with water and let it simmer until done.
Cooking time: 35 - 40 minutes per 500 g of corned beef.
The water must always cover all of the meat.
Keep it at a slow simmer, never a hard boil.
When you are done cooking the meat, let the meat cool down in the liquid.
When serving, always cut against the grain.
