Could this be the the curry pasta salad to rule all curry pasta salads?
Save and share this recipe, because it is insanely delicious. Introducing my take on a crabstick pasta salad with a spiced mayo. Growing up Mum always made a crabstick salad but with baked beans. And then crabsticks kind of disappeared. I picked up these crabsticks from Seafood Market and knew I wanted to make a salad with them.

Pasta
250g raw pasta - cook as per package instructions (make sure you salt the pasta when cooking)
10 crabsticks, cut into pieces
½ red onion, sliced
½ red pepper, cubed
½ orange pepper, cubed
8-10 cherry tomatoes, halved and seasoned with salt, pepper and dried mint
chopped dhania
1 tsp orange pepper
freshly ground black pepper
Spiced Mayo
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp jeera seeds
1 tsp mustard seeds
½ onion sliced
1 sprig curry leaf, chopped
1 tsp kashmiri masala
2 cups mayonnaise
Once you’ve prepped the vegetables and boiled and drained the pasta, fry the crabsticks in a hot, dry nonstick pan until they’re brown. Then add 1 tsp oil and fry for 3 minutes.
Let everything cool down.
Now mix all the pasta ingredients and add the spiced mayo (directions below). Mix. Cover in an airtight container and place in the fridge.
Garnish before serving.
Spiced Mayo
Heat the oil. Add the seeds seeds and fry for 1-2 minutes, then add the onion and curry leaf. Cook until the onions are brown.
Add the masala and cook for 3 minutes.
Pour into the mayonnaise and mix well.
