ABOUT KOE'SISTER
Our lives changed drastically in 2020 when South Africa’s Covid-19 lockdown began. Many people started cooking and baking to cope, and when someone asked when our stories and recipes will be told, Ingrid Jones, Mikateko Media’s Content Director, put her hand up. On 1 June 2020 she started a group on Facebook and asked for komvandaan stories and recipes. It opened the floodgates. She had planned to publish them all in a book called The Lockdown Recipe Storytelling Book, published towards the end of 2020. There were far too many for the book, and so Koesister.com (previously Koe’sister magazine) was born. Join the “FOOD FAIRIES (Koe’sister Food Community & Lifestyle)” Facebook group and become part of our community and follow @koesisteronline on Instagram and Facebook.
